Julian Gilbert

Julian Gilbert is from Cleveland, Ohio and is currently a Third-year law student at the Cleveland State University College of Law. He graduated from Hiram College in 2018, studying Political Science and Spanish. Prior to law school, Julian taught English as a second language to students at a bilingual high school in Seville, Spain for two years. He is an articles editor for the Cleveland State Law Review and his student note will be published in its Spring/Summer edition. He is also heavily involved in the National Lawyers Guild and is the Vice President of CSU’s NLG chapter. He has previously worked or externed for a criminal defense and civil rights law firm, the office of the federal public defender, and for a federal judge in the Northern District of Ohio. He is interested in criminal law, constitutional law, civil rights, and international law.

In his free time Julian enjoys reading, travelling, watching movies and series, and spending time with family and friends.
