Shortly after passing the Ohio Bar exam, George Kennett was hired as an Associate Attorney for Henderson, Mokhtari & Weatherly. Before that, he served as a law clerk with the firm, where he honed his legal skills and demonstrated his ability to handle the details of legal matters competently. Prior to joining our team, Mr. Kennett externed for the Honorable Judge Michael P. Donnelly in Cuyahoga Common Pleas Court. This experience allowed him to gain a breadth and depth of knowledge about judicial processes. When he takes on cases, he is ready to put in the time, effort, and resources necessary to help his clients.
Mr. Kennett was raised in Sittingbourne, Kent in England. In 2013, he began attending Notre Dame College, where he studied business. He majored in Sports Management and minored in Economics & Financial Service. During his undergraduate career, Mr. Kennett played NCAA Division 2 Soccer. As a full-time student and full-time athlete, he was able to maintain a 3.75 GPA.
After earning his B.A. from Notre Dame, Mr. Kennett went on to pursue his law degree at Cleveland State University – Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. He served as a Business Editor for the Cleveland-Marshall Journal of Law and Health and is a published author in the publication. In 2020, Mr. Kennett earned his Juris Doctor, graduating cum laude.
In his educational, athletic, and professional pursuits, Mr. Kennett developed and strengthened his communication, teamwork, and legal skills. He works closely with his colleagues at Henderson, Mokhtari & Weatherly, as well as with his clients, to ensure he is providing the legal representation necessary for each case he takes on.
When he's not extensively preparing for cases or developing compelling legal strategies, Mr. Kennett spends his time playing football (soccer), visiting new Cleveland eats, running and cycling, and walking his dog.
