Introduction:

At HMW Law Firm, our mission is simple yet powerful: “We will fight for your education.” Guided by this unwavering commitment, we are excited to introduce the HMW Law Firm scholarship. We will be awarding 3 - $2,000 scholarships to three deserving applicants. This scholarship is more than just financial support; it’s a symbol of our dedication to fostering academic excellence, empowering young minds, and helping students in Ohio reach their full potential. We firmly believe that education is a cornerstone of success, and we’re thrilled to play a role in shaping the future of talented individuals. As stated, this scholarship will be awarded to three students.

Eligibility Requirements:

The HMW Law Scholarship is designed to recognize and reward outstanding high school juniors and seniors who embody the principles of scholarly excellence, community engagement, and a drive for academic accomplishment. To be eligible for consideration, applicants will be weighed on a combination of the following criteria:

Residence: Applicants must be legal residents of the state of Ohio.
Academic Achievement: Applicants must demonstrate scholarly excellence, showcasing a strong academic record that reflects their dedication to learning and personal growth.
Extracurricular Involvement: We believe in the importance of a well-rounded education. If you are actively engaged in extracurricular activities, such as clubs, sports, community service, charity work or arts, then describe in your essay this demonstration of a commitment to a balanced and vibrant education as well as giving back to the community.
Commitment to Education: Successful applicants must exhibit a genuine commitment to their education and future success. This commitment should be evident through their consistent efforts to achieve academic goals and aspirations.
Post-Secondary Education: The scholarship is open to high school juniors and seniors who are interested in pursuing a post-secondary education, whether at a university, college, trade school, or any other accredited institution.
Application for Higher Education: This scholarship is specifically tailored for juniors and seniors who are actively seeking financial assistance to pursue higher education. We are dedicated to supporting those who are passionate about their academic journey and need a helping hand to pave the way for their future success.
Employment: Cannot currently be an employee of HMW Law.

Application Requirements:

To apply for the HMW Law Scholarship, candidates must complete the following steps:

A completed scholarship application form, including personal details and contact information is located on the scholarship application tab on our website teamhmwwins.com.
Visit website: Cleveland Lawyers | Henderson & Weatherly (teamhmwwins.com) and complete the form on the website which is a one-page essay (approximately 500 words) discussing the applicant’s activity in extracurricular activities, such as clubs, sports, community service, charity work or arts, demonstrating their commitment to a balanced and vibrant education.

Application deadlines and Award Disbursement:

The HMW Law $2,000 Scholarship will be awarded this 4^th quarter of 2023 to three deserving students. Application deadlines are December 15, 2023. Decisions on the applications will be made on January 15, 2024. Money will be awarded with proof of acceptance into a school of higher learning.
